Football Star Welsh Athlete Ramsey Boosts Bounty for Lost Pet in Mexico to £15,000
Wales football star Ramsey has raised the reward for information about his missing pet Halo to £15k.
The former Premier League club Arsenal and Cardiff player, who currently represents Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, mentioned that Halo was spotted in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato zone.
Halo, who disappeared on 9 October, was equipped with a tracking device, and Ramsey shared a exact coordinates of the spot she vanished from.
"Any sort of updates regarding our Halo kindly contact us. Significant reward for reuniting with her. We are all wishing she is safe and comes home to our side shortly," Ramsey wrote on Instagram.
Initial Offer and Heartfelt Appeals
The footballer first announced that his dog had gone missing a fortnight back and has since posted numerous photos of the adored canine on Instagram.
A $10,000 incentive was initially offered, but with absence of information on Halo's status after a week, the player and his family raised the sum.
"We just want our girl returned," he said in a further request on social media after the decade-old pet disappeared.
The latest image upload is a grayscale snapshot of Halo napping, her head lying in the curve of the athlete's arm, with the caption: "What I wouldn't give to embrace you once more sweet Halo."
Family's Concerns and Context
Ramsey has also shared a note from his wife Colleen on online channels saying they have some "important queries" surrounding the incident and worry the family "might not receive answers".
"We still are still searching for our dog. I don't think we will ever," the spouse's message expressed.
The Welsh captain became part of Mexican premier club Club Universidad Nacional earlier this year and had his first appearance in the Mexican league in August.
Born in Caerphilly footballer is the first high profile British Isles athlete to compete in the Mexican league.
